He is best known for his work with his comedy partner Kristen Schaal, as well as for his solo stand-up. The duo was nominated
for the prestigious IF.comedy "Best Comedy Show Award" (formerly the Perrier Award) in 2008 for their show "Double Down Hearts"
at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He has also performed with Schaal at the Melbourne Comedy Festival (Barry Award Winners),
HBO Las Vegas Comedy Festival, Montreal Comedy Festival, and on the BBC. He also created and starred in the popular online
series "Penelope: Princess of Pets" with Schaal for Turner owned and now-defunct Superdeluxe.com. He is currently working
on a script development deal with Paramount Studios for a network sitcom and was recently brought in to help Southpark brainstorm
episode ideas for their 12th season.
Braunohler's first major project was the performance project Kurtbot. This was a series of street comedy sketches along
with an accompanying website. He had more success with the street theatre project Chengwin. His work with the group earned a number of awards, including being voted by the Village Voice as "Best Hilarious Insane Guerilla Theatre" in 2003.
